Two glasses of our frozen peach daiquiri on a plate with peach slices

Does it feel like an oven outside? Are your peaches all about to ripen at the same time? We have just the recipe your summer needs: this Frozen Peach Daiquiri!

This refreshing, naturally sweet, tropical-tasting drink is super easy to make in just 5 minutes with 5 ingredients. Bonus? It works beautifully with or without alcohol. The choice is yours, friend! Let’s get blending!

Frozen peach slices, frozen pineapple chunks, maple syrup, water, ice cubes, fresh mint, and limes

How to Make a Peach Daiquiri

This frozen peach daiquiri could not be simpler to make (or more satisfying to drink 😉)! Simply blend up frozen peaches and pineapple with lime juice, mint leaves, ice, water, sweetener, and light (white) rum.

After blending, the texture will be thick and creamy like a slushie! If it’s too thick, you can simply let it sit out for a few minutes to melt slightly. And if it’s too thin, you can add more frozen fruit or ice to thicken your daiquiri, but avoid adding too much ice as it will dilute the flavor!

And that’s it — your daiquiri is ready to serve! For a festive touch, we love to serve in cute cocktail glasses with a slice of fresh peach or pineapple, a lime wedge, and a cocktail umbrella. Full-on vacation vibes!

Recipe Questions & Substitutions

What is a daiquiri?

A daiquiri is a type of cocktail believed to have originated in Cuba, but the exact origin story is controversial. The original drink was made by combining white Cuban rum, fresh lime juice, and sugar, then shaking with ice and straining into chilled cocktail glasses.

Over time, the drink’s popularity spread, and eventually, frozen and fruity variations emerged.

What is light (white) rum?

While dark rum has a rich taste due to being aged in barrels, light (white) rum is lighter in both color and flavor. Light (white) rum is also fruitier, making it a better fit for daiquiris!

Want to make a non-alcoholic (virgin) daiquiri?

Just leave out the rum and add more water instead! The non-alcoholic version is equally delicious and perfect for sharing with kids or anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol.

Can I use fresh peaches?

Yes! We recommend using fresh peaches to ensure your daiquiri has the best flavor. However, you will need to freeze the peaches before making your drink to achieve a daiquiri texture. Choose peaches at the peak of ripeness — fragrant and slightly tender when pressed gently. Then slice your peaches and freeze on a (silicone- or parchment-lined) baking sheet or plate in a single layer.

Do I need to peel the peaches?

There’s no need to peel the peaches! We didn’t find the texture of the peel distracting, it makes the drink a pretty peach color, and not having to peel the peaches saves time. Plus, we’ll take any opportunity for extra fiber!

What can I use instead of pineapple?

The pineapple adds sweetness and creates a creamier texture. Frozen mango is also delicious, but it does cover up the peach flavor a bit and the texture will be less daiquiri-like (think creamy rather than icy)!

What can I use instead of maple syrup?

(Pure) maple syrup keeps this naturally sweetened, blends in easily, and doesn’t contribute any maple flavor. Another liquid sweetener, such as agave, might also work! If you want to use a granulated sweetener such as cane sugar, it’s best to dissolve it in the water before adding to the blender.

Can I make daiquiris ahead of time?

It’s best to make your daiquiris just before serving because they will melt and lose their icy texture. If you blend more than you’re wanting to consume at one time, you can freeze any extra into a popsicle mold. Then enjoy as a popsicle, or re-blend with a little extra water, pineapple juice, or even coconut water.

Peach Daiquiri Pairing Recommendations

To really play up the tropical vacation vibes, you can serve your peach daiquiri with Jerk Tofu & Roasted Plantain Bowls, Jamaican Jerk Grilled Eggplant, or Grilled Fish Tacos with Pineapple Cabbage Slaw.

If you’re feeling the intensity of the summer heat and want to avoid turning on the oven, try pairing with our Vegan Collard Green Burritos or Rainbow Raw-maine Taco Boats.

Course Beverage

Cuisine Caribbean-Inspired, Gluten-Free, Vegan

  • 1 cup frozen sliced peaches (frozen at the peak of ripeness* // 1 peach yields ~1 cup or 140 g)
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks (frozen at the peak of ripeness*)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh mint leaves
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed // 1/2-1 lime yields ~2 Tbsp or 30 ml juice)
  • 1/3 cup ice
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2-1 Tbsp maple syrup (depending on sweetness of fruit, or sub other liquid sweetener such as agave)
  • 4-6 Tbsp light (white) rum (optional // if omitting, add more water)
  • To a high-speed blender, add all daiquiri ingredients (including the lesser amount of rum if you are using it) and blend on high for ~1 minute until smooth. Taste and adjust, adding more maple syrup to balance tartness or rum for a stronger drink.
  • Divide between your favorite cocktail glasses and garnish the rim with a slice of peach or pineapple, a lime wedge, or fresh mint leaves, or add a cocktail umbrella! Soak in the vacation vibes and enjoy!

  • Best when fresh. If there’s any leftover (we doubt it!), we suggest freezing in a popsicle mold.

*For best color and flavor, we highly recommend freezing fresh fruit at the peak of ripeness. Peaches should be fragrant and slightly soft to the touch. Pineapple should be flavorful and bright (not pale) yellow. To freeze, cut (unpeeled) peaches into 1/2-inch slices and pineapple into ~1 ½-inch chunks. Place fruit on a silicone- or parchment-lined plate or baking sheet in a single layer. Set in the freezer until fully frozen (~4-6 hours), then transfer to a sealed container until ready to use. In a pinch, store-bought frozen fruit will work, but we found the peach flavor was not as noticeable, the pineapple was more tart, and the color was more yellow.
*Nutrition information is a rough estimate calculated with the lesser amount of maple syrup and without optional rum.
