Grab your best mixing bowl, spatula, and this list of 15 Desserts That Don’t Require a Mixer for your next baking day. Choose from a decadent skillet brownie, fruit-filled blueberry pie bars, fancy crème brûlée, and many other reader-favorite recipes. This collection of no-mixer needed recipes has something for everyone to enjoy!

My stand mixer is one of my most utilized baking tools, but I know we can all appreciate a recipe that doesn’t require breaking it out! Let’s give our mixers a well-deserved rest.

Today I’m sharing 15 Desserts That Don’t Require a Mixer.

At the top of this list are my incredibly popular chewy chocolate chip cookies. Unlike brown butter chocolate chip cookies or double chocolate chip cookies, which both call for room temperature butter, we use melted butter here for extra chewiness, so you don’t need your mixer to cream butter and sugar. With millions of page views each year, these cookies are my best of the best.

I even published them in my New York Times best-selling cookbook, Sally’s Baking 101.

Chocolate chip cookie bark is another easy way to get your chocolate chip cookie fix. Plus, there’s no individual cookie dough rolling needed!

Several of my most beloved fruit desserts come together without a mixer, too. This fresh peach cake, blueberry galette, and glazed strawberry bread are top choices during the warm summer months.

And in the fall, apple cake is consistently one of the most popular recipes on my site.

To keep things simple, most of these dessert recipes use basic techniques like whisking, stirring, and folding, and there’s no special equipment required. They’re great for beginner bakers, quick weekend projects, or anytime you want a homemade dessert without the extra cleanup.

Which of these no-mixer recipes will you try next?
