Emirates

When it comes to international travel, Emirates is a top choice for South Africans. Whether you’re jet-setting to Dubai or beyond, Emirates makes sure your journey is as dazzling as your destination.

With a reputation for punctuality, comfort, and friendly service, choosing Emirates is the savvy way to travel. It also helps that their pricing is ultra-competitive, and up to 30% cheaper on Travelstart compared to anywhere else.

Here’s an overview of the benefits you can expect when flying with Emirates.

Seating and Cabins

Emirates Economy Class offers comfortable recliner seats with flexible side panels and leather headrests. The airline further offers Premium Economy (selected routes, and not currently available departing South Africa) as well as Business and First Class cabins which feature various luxuries. Business and First Class cabins boast fully flat beds.

Dining

Economy Class travellers receive multi-course meals inspired by regional cuisines with a selection of complimentary beverages, including fruit juices, soft drinks, wine, beer, and spirits. Meals are provided even on short flights, though the offerings vary based on flight duration. In Business and First Class, passengers can select gourmet meal options from the menu and pre-order meals in advance to ensure their favourite dish is served.

Entertainment

Passengers can enjoy thousands of channels on the award-winning ICE (Information, Communication, Entertainment) system, featuring the latest and most popular movies, TV shows, music, and games from around the world. Each seat is equipped with a screen, headphones, laptop power outlets, and USB ports. Travellers with children are sorted with dedicated kids’ TV channels, complimentary toys and activities, as well as child-friendly meals and drinks.

Amenities

On longer flights, complimentary amenity kits are provided so passengers can arrive refreshed. These kits include essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, and eye masks. Business and First Class amenity kits include designer toiletry products for men and women like a range of lotions, perfumes and shaving kits, quality sleepwear and comfortable bedding.

Baggage Allowance

Emirates provides a very generous baggage policy, with allowances varying based on fare type, cabin class and route. Special fares allow one checked piece of up to 20 kg, while other Economy Class fares types with add-ons allow for pieces of up to 35kg. Business and First Class cabins permit total baggage weights of 40kg and 50kg respectively. Always confirm the baggage rules of your flight before departure as these may change.

Emirates ensures a high-quality travel experience in every cabin class, making it a top choice for all international travellers!
